#perthinstameet

We idle way those quiet times escaping into the screen, forever scrolling our way to early RSI.  Some are searching for inspiration, whilst others are the curators, who share breathtaking moments of wonder captured in that small square frame.  Instagram has fast become the epicentre of fashion, design, culture and dreams.

Perth is just bursting with creative folk many of whom have become a little Insta-famous.  Without these people amongst us, who else would be colouring not just our world, but our local communities and circles with their inspiration and talent.

For the past year I have been blessed to get to know, work with and become wonderful friends with Stacey Clark.  Not only is Stacey a bundle of talent, but she is a pocket rocket full of laughter and all things bright.  Stacey is one of those lucky few, living her dream of connecting creatives all over.

On a lovely Spring evening, Stacey Clark and Instagram maven Bec Tougas joined forces to curate Perth's first Instameet. A perfect night for the flourishing community to get together, have fun and swoon.

Oh so pretty!

Oh so pretty!

I think you are cute

Kawa is one of those hidden gems that are hard to stumble upon.   Luckily I had a little insider information from the finley threaded beauty behind Joveeba.  Nestled by shady trees on Crown Street in Surry Hills, it is the perfect spot to start a day in Sydney.

We sat on the footpath people watching.  The day unfolding in the comforting aromas of cheesy toast and coffee.   Offering the usual breakfast staples with that homemade touch, it felt you stopped by a loved one's for humble eats.   So quaint, so cute.

The Beaufort Street Merchant

I met with my fellow food loving friend Foodie Cravings and aghast! we went without eating.  I forgot how much I love coffee dates, less time chewing means more time for chatting. Michelle and her husband recently opened Crust Mt Lawley.  Working full time, running Crust, satisfying foodie cravings and blogging .. she is one busy lady.  So wonderful to hear that the pizza oven is cranking day day in day out keeping the hungry people of Highgate happy.

Special advanced and humungous thanks to Crust for donating vouchers to our Autumn Roving Dinner goodie bags.

London: Foxcroft & Ginger

I felt oh so very spesh being taken to F&G by Bridie. Its always heartwarming to know that its one of your favourite friends favoured haunts. It was one of my favourite lazy London experiences.

Greeted by the barista with an impromptu quiz "DiCaprio v Franco" we ticked and launched into debate.  Majority hands down DiCaprio circa Catch Me If You Can and Gangs of New York. However Leo is like a fine wine and just gets better with age. My friend Maddy can vouch for that when she stalked him in Sydney (HA). Come to think of it pretty sure I had a crush on him when I spent my pocket money on TV Hits.  And then being freaked out by him as Gilbert Grape and in the Basketball Diaries. Oh to be young.

Right in the heart of Soho, F&G is a breeding ground for friends catching up over good coffee and delicious gourmet cafe food (think Sayers). French toast crammed with cheese and ham off the bone, blimey!
